Brett is actively involved in project delivery – from the “board room to the site” providing immediate decisions and personal service. We have spent our lives in the civil/building industry. We know the business. We understand client’s expectations and engage NZ Standards and relevant Codes of Practice to ensure quality standards are achieved.
We employ a core team of on site personnel – a number of which are long serving. We complement our project teams with reliable and reputable subcontractors and suppliers who have enjoyed relationships with West City Construction for over 25 years. We engage specialist subcontractors for on-site traffic management and project surveying, quality inspections and as-built management.
West City Construction promotes and encourages staff development and training to ensure staff remain up-to-date with changing legislation, best work practices, technology, and leadership management. Training includes (but is not limited to), contract management, technical seminars, trade courses, health and safety, first aid, environmental, STMS courses, heavy vehicle license classes, and confined spaces.
We have structured our operation to ensure sufficient management, supervision and work force resources are available to each of our specialised fields across concurrent projects. Our operation crews report to Brett Ireland in his role as Contract Manager.
